Inventory Module Enhancements

New Inventory Enhancements Coming Q1 2024
ReactorNet is excited to announce the newest evolution of the EPRO Inventory Management module. Slated for release in Q1 of 2024, the enhanced Inventory module aims to consolidate a long list of improvements, along with series of new features, into one comprehensive software release.
New Features
Streamlined inventory transfers: We have added support for inventory transfer approvals and history, ensuring seamless and transparent transfer processes. Transfers are now exclusively captured through count sheet functionality.
Effortless completion/conditional approval of transfers: With our new enhancements, transfers can be approved or declined based on specific conditions. For transfers that don't require approvals, transfer items will transition to source and target locations immediately. If approval is necessary, an email notification will be sent, and the record must be acted upon through the Transfers list.
Convenient access to transfers: We have introduced a dedicated "Transfers" menu option under the “View > Inventory" submenu, allowing you to easily manage and track transfer requests.
Flexible transfer adjustments: You now have the ability to adjust transfer quantities and the effective date of the transfer, giving you more control over inventory movement.
Changes
In addition to the new features, we have made several improvements to existing functionalities, specifically in Count Sheet and Inventory Screens:
Count Sheet
Enhanced sorting capabilities: We have corrected an issue with incorrect sorting for Sheet To Shelf (Drag and Drop) functionality, ensuring a smooth and efficient counting process.
Improved count display: We have reorganized and revamped the count sheet layout, making it easier to view and manage count requirements and optional items with checkboxes.
Added visibility to storage locations: The header of the count sheet now includes the storage location name for better inventory transaction management.
User-friendly header controls: We have repositioned and reformatted the header controls on the count sheet for easier navigation and use.
Bug fixes and adjustments: We have addressed various bugs and issues reported by users, such as error messages after saving counts and incorrect total count display for non-count transactions.
Inventory Screens
Accurate quantity on hand display: We have resolved an issue with displaying incorrect quantities on hand when a storage location is selected, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
Improved usability: We have made several user interface enhancements, including hiding redundant information and expanding column widths to avoid text clipping.
Clear indication of system activity: We now dim the main screen during callbacks to provide a clear visual indicator that the system is busy.
Refined labeling and sorting: We have adjusted labels and default sorting to improve the clarity and organization of inventory information.
Enhanced inventory values display: Inventory values now display correctly for items with master item configurations.
Proper date filtering: Detail records now respect date filters and only include the last 5 inventory periods with an appropriate begin date, resulting in more accurate and relevant data.
